Nejiri gama means twisted sickle: the 4-inch blade is set at an angle to the shaft so you can draw it toward you just under the soil and shave weeds off at the root line. The black lacquered beech handle is 4.5 inches long, which keeps your hand close to the work in tight flower beds.

  • 4-inch straight Japanese stainless blade, angled for a pulling stroke
  • Black lacquered beech wood handle, 4.5 in
  • Corner of the blade picks out single weeds
  • Rust and scratch resistant, stays sharp

  • Gravel paths
  • Between rows of lettuce and onions

Tip from the peg wall

Keep the blade almost flat and pull. If you chop down with a nejiri gama you are working twice as hard.
